Painter, graphic artist and designer, Swiss and French national,
Roger Pfund was born in Bern in 1943. Since 1971 he has been living
and working in Geneva where he runs a visual communication studio
employing a dozen people.

Roger Pfund’s three main areas of activity as graphic artist and designer are:

Banknotes and securities

 

In March 1971, Roger Pfund won the first prize in the Swiss National Bank’s design competition
for a new series of banknotes. He invented the thematic banknote and designed the first
computer-aided programs for banknotes.
Since then Roger Pfund has specialized in design and conception of banknotes and securities.

Winner of numerous international prizes, decorated by a number of institutions,
